The most important thing to remember when creating any type of content is that it must bring value to your audience. Here are four types of content you should be posting in 2021;
Inspirational
After the year we all had in 2020, It is no wonder people want to see motivational and inspirational content on their feed. Inspiring content is a way to bring positivity to your audience but also promote your business in a subtle way. Simple quotes or words of wisdom are highly shared/saved online and therefore will boost your post to an even wider audience.
Relatable
You cannot be a business owner in 2021 and be unreachable. Customers want to know you, your team, and everything behind the scenes of your business. Transparency is more important than ever, therefore sharing content that is open, honest, and relatable will help you build an amazing community around your business.
Remember being relatable does not mean being perfect! Be vulnerable and people will be more open and trusting with you.
Educational
Educational content is the most valuable type of content that you could share. You will gradually be seen as an authority in your field by sharing this type of high-value content. Your audience will view you as an expert and start to turn to you for advice and guidance. When creating educational posts, ensure they are clear, concise, and easy to understand. Similar to inspirational content, educational content is highly shareable/saveable.
Remember most people don’t come to Social Media to read, therefore focus on using graphics and very few words.
Promotional
We purposely put promotional content last as many businesses make the mistake of pumping out promotional content in an effort to get more sales. We completely understand that you want potential customers to see your products. However if promotional content is all your posting, you aren’t giving anything of value to your audience. We would suggest, for every piece of promotional content posted, you should publish two other types of content.
Offering your audience value should be your main priority at all times. Don’t get caught up in numbers and vanity metrics. If you put out high quality, valuable content, the numbers will grow! Remember the success of your Social Media depends on the value of your content.
